Info
We designed a smart bat house and companion app that used sensors and playful education to support bat conservation and engage families.
My role
I contributed to user research, interview analysis, ideation and I designed the whole app concept and present it in the final presentation day.
Challenge
Finding bat experts in Salzburg was not easy, which made the research process especially rewarding. The expert interviews were long and in-depth, and although they required a lot of focus and energy, they gave us rich insights that made the project both highly engaging and meaningful.
Process
I reviewed different wellness apps, mapped the core flows, created wireframes, tested early concepts, and refined the navigation, customization, and overall UI through iteration.
Outcome
The result was a polished prototype with a clearer structure, simpler controls, and a more distinctive mood-based exploration experience.
Reflection
This project strengthened my ability to test early, simplify complex interactions, and design for emerging product experiences.
