Info
A real industry collaboration with Veo Technologies during my HCI Master's. We redesigned their sports camera system into a modular, behaviour-driven ecosystem.
My role
Behaviour definition, competitor analysis, full app flow and demo, ecosystem sketches, and visual design lead for the concept catalogue.
Challenge
The existing product worked well, but it had setup friction, limited adaptability, little real-time feedback, and the same app experience for different types of users.
The challenge was to improve the system without losing its affordability.
Process
We analysed and tested the current product, reviewed competitors, ran workshops with Veo, and shifted from persona-based thinking to a behaviour-driven approach.
This helped us design solutions for coaches, athletes, and content-focused users in a more flexible way.
Outcome
The final concept proposed a refined one-phone core rig, modular add-ons, and a role-based app with guided setup, better feedback, analytics, and content tools.
The result was a more adaptable system designed for different sports contexts and user needs.
Reflection
This project strengthened my skills in product thinking, UX strategy, and UI design within a real company collaboration.
It also showed me the value of designing around behaviours, not just user profiles.
